Coordinated Public Transit–Human Services Transportation Plan

The MPO is updating its Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation (CPT-HST) Plan, to be adopted in spring 2019. This page will be updated soon with more information, including opportunities to provide input. In the meantime, subscribe to our email notices (be sure to select Transportation Equity notices) for updates and opportunities to provide input on the plan.

The Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (pdf) (html) documents the MPO region’s unmet human-service transportation needs, describes the MPO region’s current transportation network, and provides ideas for improving transportation services through coordination among public transit agencies and human services transportation providers. The CPT-HST Plan is prepared by the MPO to guide organizations in the region to develop proposals eligible to receive funding in the Federal Transit Administration’s Section 5310 transit funding program. This program provides capital and operations funding for services for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

Public Participation

The CPT-HST Plan was developed with the participation of representatives of public, private, and nonprofit transportation and human-services providers, as well as members of the public. The MPO held public planning forums to discuss the needs of the elderly (65 years and older), people with a disability, and individuals with low incomes in the region, including strategies for meeting those needs. A survey was also developed, which was distributed through the MPO’s transportation equity email list, posted on the MPO’s website, and distributed at the public forums. Input from these outreach methods was integrated into the CPT-HST Plan. For more information, please contact Betsy Harvey, MPO Staff, at 857.702.3701 or eharvey@ctps.org (email).
