The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a meeting in Acton on June 4, 2015, at 10:00 AM.

This meeting will be followed immediately (at approximately 12:00 noon) by an MPO Administration and Finance Committee meeting.

The MPO will hear a presentation on transportation issues in the Acton area from Acton officials, discuss the UPWP Committee’s recommendation for the federal fiscal year 2016 Unified Planning Work Program, and discuss the update to the Boston Region MPO’s Long-Range Transportation Plan. Meeting materials will be available at the MPO’s website, www.bostonmpo.org (click on “Upcoming Meetings” and then select the date of the meeting).

Acton is served by the Fitchburg Line of Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail service. Transportation to the Acton Town Hall from the South Acton Station is available through CrossTown Connect at 978.929.6457 or online at http://www.crosstown-connect.org. The MinuteVan Rail Shuttle service will meet the 9:32 and 9:42 AM commuter rail trains (#453 and #405) and transport attendees to the town hall for the 10:00 AM meeting and back to the station after the meeting. The shuttle will be parked in its designated spot in front of the South Acton Station. This service is a demonstration of Acton’s commitment to the First-Mile/Last-Mile Community Transportation program.
