4.      Transportation System Resilience: Addressing Extreme Weather and Climate Change, 45 minutes (3:15 PM) Dr. Bahar Barami, Senior Economist, U.S. DOT, Volpe Center and William M. Lyons, Principal Technical Advisor for Transportation Planning, U.S. DOT, Volpe Center. Dr. Barami and Mr. Lyons are staff members at the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology.

This presentation will explore topics in transportation infrastructure resiliency including the assessment of climate-change risks and vulnerabilities; adaptive strategies; mitigation of climate-change consequences; and resilience in the face of climate-change impacts and the importance of planning. 5.      Election Committee, 15 minutes (4:00 PM) D. Montgomery, Chair - Members names are placed in nomination for Chair and Vice Chair for upcoming year elections to be held on October 7. Nominations close.
